In our industry, we have the keys to the world, yet we often spend our downtime visiting the same hotels or sitting in the same lounges. Travel & Adventure was created to ensure our travel benefits are a lived experience, not just a line item on our employee profile.

We created this space to turn "standby stress" into "shared success". By connecting with colleagues who share the same schedules and the same access to the globe, we move beyond the routine of work-travel and into the world of true exploration.

Why We Built This Pillar

This section is more than just a trip log; it is a core part of the VUES community strategy for three reasons:

  • Shared Life Experiences: A breathtaking view is more meaningful when you are standing there with a colleague who understands the hustle it took to get there.

  • Mental & Physical Wellness: Escaping the high-pressure terminal environment to recharge in nature is essential for our long-term health.

  • A High-Trust Network: Traveling with verified colleagues provides a level of security and camaraderie that solo travel cannot match.

Continuing the ACRA Legacy

VUES is proud to carry forward the spirit of the Air Canada Recreation Association (ACRA), which for decades was the heartbeat of our workplace community.

When the local Toronto Chapter closed in December 2020, our community lost its primary way of organizing group fun and recreational activities. By adding this Travel & Adventure section, we are reviving that "zest for participation" and "spirit of adventure" that made ACRA so special. We are a volunteer-based initiative, created for employees by employees, to ensure that the tradition of off-the-job connection never fades.
